MW3 Tips and Tricks
73Reminder
Everything included in this document is MY opinion. this is how i feel and what i recommend. In no way does it mean I am right and you are wrong. This is what works for me and what i recommend you try out sometime and see how it may work out for you.
Hello Everyone.
I'm here today to explain some basic call of duty modern warfare 3 multiplayer tips.
I've been noticing teammates along with my personal friends making some fairly rudimentary mistakes in multiplayer.
I've also noticed some tips on here and on youtube from so called "Pros" and i have to say, some people are just full of it.
First we will cover loadouts and different play styles.
Now, contrary to popular belief, there is no right or wrong way to play call of duty.
Do not concern yourself with people complaining about how "Cheap" you are, or how much of a noob you are for using this weapon or that weapon.
Another popular term for people is "Try hard" because they try hard.
I think this is a asinine term because lets face it, we all try hard to win, all because i do most of the time does not mean i should be degraded with insults.
I will cover what i believe is Good VS Bad VS The True noob weapons.
Lets examine play styles and load outs for them.

Trophy system tips.
The Camper.
I know a lot of you absolutely hate campers.
But face it, I don't care how much you complain about them you yourself are one.
No excuses, no garbage, you camp.
So, lets cover a couple of good loadouts for camping.
First.
My Camping assault class .
ACR 6.8
Weapon attachment, Silencer.
Weapon Proficiency, Stability.
This combination of weapon, attachment, proficiency are perfect for encounters at any range.
But Jester you ask. how does it work at long range with no sight?
Well the answer is right under your noses.
The marksmen perk, its all about marksmen.
I personally use it on almost every class.
It will cause enemy team members to light up at much farther ranges.
And you will be able to Identify and exterminate with precision by shooting just under their name.
And stability for better aim long range,,
Watch the video to the right for a better explanation.
Secondaries are akimbo FMG9's
They are cheap and overpowered, and will save your life in a close encounter with an enemy or two and you need to reload the ACR.
Next comes equipment.
For lethal I use the claymore for the obvious reasons of keeping your back safe when your teammates are busy fail rushing and causing the spawns to switch.
My next piece of equipment may come as a surprise, but it's the trophy system.
This item is the most valuable piece of equipment you can have, I know a lot of people like the portable radar. but the effectiveness of the trophy system far exceeds the portable radar.
Never used it? Let me explain to you how it works;
You are on village, or interchange, or any other map where you have very little cover overhead while camping.
You see a Precision Airstrike/Predator/Stealth Bomber.
You plant the trophy system and go prone, the trophy system then detonates the incoming explosives in the air.
This is a life saver when you are a couple of kills away from an AH-6 or Pave Low.
Watch the video on the right for more info on the trophy system and to see it in action.
Perks.
Scavenger Pro, just purely because I hate using other peoples weapons unless I absolutely have too.
Hardline Pro.
You get a lot of assists when camping, it's going to happen, one or two bullets in to a passing target, he runs around a corner in to your team. he dies, you get nothing.
Well hardline pro allows you to capitalize on this, every two assists give you one kill toward your killstreak.
And since we are aiming at mid to long range, Quickdraw is not needed.
And as explained above,
Marksmen Pro.
The Killstreaks themselves are up to you.
Just be sure they compliment themselves.
I.E. do not go UAV/Assault drone/ osprey. you will almost never get your full killstreaks with a set up like this.
Try to use streaks that will quickly allow you to move on to the next one.
Example, when I use Juggernaut assault armor . My Streaks are.
Attack chopper/ Pave Low/Juggernaut. try to keep killstreaks that take you out of your body for your final killstreak.
I.E. do not use a Assault drone while trying to get an osprey.
This leaves your body open, and as soon as you die, it quits applying your kills to you streak count.
And you will almost always die like this.
You should only rely on yourself in MW. your team will always disappoint you.
And if you keep your expectations to a bare minimum then you keep yourself from being stressed.
The Runner.
This class is built for pure speed.
And speedy is it.
Main weapon
P90.
Attachment. Rapid fire.
Proficiency. Range.
This gun covers it all, power, suppression, a huge clip.
The P90 is my personal favorite Sub machine gun,
Other commentators prefer the MP-7, but it's up to personal preference.
I like the P90 simply because if I need to spray to escape a target, I have a 50 round clip to do so while backing around a corner to recover my health, and 9 times out of 10, the target will follow, so it's time to whip out the akimbos and prone shoot him as he walks around the corner.
Secondary's are, Of course the FMG9 akimbo.
Equipment.
there is a bit of leeway here.
I use the throwing knife, it can be a life saver.
Lets say you are sprinting full speed around a corner, which you should never do anyway.
But some times in the heat of the moment, especially during close CTF games while chasing the flag runner.
A enemy is coming directly at you, you have no time to react, he already has a hit marker on you. If you shoot, it wont matter, you could drop shot.
But not everyone uses tactial, You could try to knife him, but that may not work either.
This is where the throwing knife comes in handy.
It's a one hit kill on any part of the body, and its faster than a normal knife.
Now that commando is gone, knifing is better suited for a quiet sneak attack.
But, this can be switched to what ever you prefer.
I do highly suggest using the throwing knife, and if you are not talented with it, practice.
And secondly, the trophy system.
I don't leave home without it.
Perks.
The starter 3 are
Extreme Conditioning Pro,
Hardline Pro.
Marksmen Pro.
Now we have Conditioning for the increased running distance, and quick mantling speed.
This is invaluable when escaping from a target.
Hardline on this class so we get out perks faster, and the faster you receive the specialist bonus, the faster you become a walking tank.
And marksmen.
With the range proficiency on, You have the ability to cross map with short controlled bursts from the P90,
The specialist 3 are.
Quick draw at one, we have this in first because this is a running class, and you need all the speed you can get.
it is also helpful in an emergency allowing you to switch to the FMGs faster, throw the knife faster, also deploy the trophy system with more speed.
Scavenger at 3.There is nothing worse than having to slow down to pick up the weapon of someone else.
And the next worst thing, is having a larger weapon slow your overall speed down.
that is why we have scavenger to allow you to never have to drop your main.
And third is Dead Silence.
This is pretty self explanatory .
But I will delve into this one as well.
It silences your foot steps. If you have the Pro version, it cancels all fall damage
making for a quick escape from anywhere possible.
I will sometimes use a variant of this class with the ACR, using stability and a silencer.
The All Arounder
This class is designed for overall survivability and effectiveness.
The ACR in the Main weapon slot
Attachment, Silencer.
Proficiency, Stability.
This class is designed for encounters at all ranges,
The silencer keeps you off rader, stability keeps your sway down while moving and aiming.
Of course we have the FMG9 akimbo in the second.
Lethal and tactical also for the survivability of the class.
The claymore will keep you safe if camping is needed.
And the trophy system will keep you safe from ballistic air strikes.
We start with
Extreme Conditioning Pro.
Hardline Pro.
Marksmen Pro.
Then for specialist perks we have.
At one, Quickdraw Pro.
Needed for close range encounters with a assault rifle.
At three we have Scavenger Pro,
by this time. you may be needing ammo.
And we would rather keep the custom tuned weapon we already have, instead of using a dropped one.
And at five we have Stalker Pro.
This helps greatly when doing the "Man dance" as it allows you to move faster than some players may even be able to track, while aiming.
It also allows for claymores and bouncing betties to not explode in you face.
This is a great all around class, and the one I use normally for calling in MOAB's
Other Multiplayer Tips
First off.
Control schemes and sensitivity settings.
I highly, highly recommend Using the "Tactical" Control setting.
I believe that having the ability to continue aiming while crouching/going prone is more valuable than a quick knife.
Using this setting also allows for "drop shotting"
Which can be a real life saver.
As for sensitivity. Use what you are comfortable using.
It does not make you a better player using 10.
I use 8 personally.
But a friend of mine has called in a MOAB using 3.
Always watch the corners.
Corners, especially dark ones are not only a great spot to reload, but are also a camping spot used by many.
Use color blind assist, even if you are not color blind.
This helps a great deal, but takes a small bit of time to get used to.
Do not rush down the middle of the map.
I see so many people doing this, and getting killed by the veteran players like myself.
If you are using a rushing class, it is still not a good idea to blindly run down the middle of the map.
Stick to the outsides of the map, and cross through the center only when needed.
Keep your line of sight to a bare minimum. The lower profile you have, the less chance you have of getting killed.
Always move.
Always. No exceptions.
Do not stop to shoot, do not stand around to throw a grenade. do not stop moving, Period.
The easiest target to hit is a stationary one.
When being shot at, or shooting at the head of a target, Use the "Man dance" strafe left and right, duck and drop to prone, run and jump, jump and run.
Just keep them guessing, and never be afraid to dropshot someone.
Use cover.
Don't stand out of cover to take shot.
Use the cover to your advantage, and if you miss, you miss.
He will either get killed by a teammate, or double back, giving you another chance to drop him.
Do not chase a target.
EVER!
This is a mistake I see even experienced players make.
You chase, your vision narrows down to the target only, and you lose depth of vision.
He runs away, let him go.
Quit doing things you know do not work for you.
If you always use a sniper rifle. and you always go 7-21. then change tactics.
If you snipe because you don't like close encounters, then use a mid range combat rifle.
If you are trying to rush, then go for more range.
And if you can't quick scope in an emergency, then do not snipe, period.
IN GAME ETIQUETTE.
Do not complain to your teammates.
Do not talk crap to teammates about how they play.
Do not complain about the other team to your teammates.
I don't want to hear about how "BS" that death was, and I don't want to hear you complain about how often you die.
If you are dying that much, then you need to use a different tactic.
If you cant get a kill, use a different approach.
Don't complain about people killing you through objects.
You don't like it, then go play Halo.
Do not complain about people doing the same thing you are doing.
And always remember, there will always be someone better than you.
Its a fact of life, you are not the best.
you will never be the best.
Just do your best, because that is the best anyone can do.
Do not say "No way he killed me" because he obviously did.
And 9 times out of 10, it was not BS, but just you failing to listen to my advice.
STOP YELLING INTO YOUR MIC!!!!!
Really, Its not cool.
Rsass
Riot shield tutorial.
I hate this gun
Over rated and abused Weapons/Streaks.
These weapons are the bane of my online life.
RSASS.
Most people use this weapon because they like to pretend they are quick scoping.
They use it with an Acog, and they use it because it has a very large clip. largest in it's class with 20 rounds.
Noobs and trolls use it to spam sniper fire and get a lucky shot,
it is actually pretty worthless.
The Riot shield.
A personal favorite of mine for trolling.
This is used by Noobs that have no real idea how to use it.
I have included a video to hopefully teach you all how to properly use this weapon and not be a noob with it.
Type 95.
This weapon is overpowered to the max.
Much in the same way as the FMG9 akimbo is.
But unlike the FMG, you can kill someone cross map with this weapon.
In my opinion, this weapon (and the FMGs actually) needs to be patched, Much like the M16 in CoD4, ACR and UMP in MW2, and Famas and AK74U in Black Ops.
MP7.
This gun is also way overpowered.
It is not in the came caliber as the Type 95, but it is close.
The Heartbeat Sensor.
This one kills me. it's cheap, and it really doesn't help you win.
I've never seen someone using this attachment win a game.
The Stealth Bomber.
This should be in assault. This is much to powerful to give to the unskilled people that use it.
Support packages are fine, and are a great way for people that lack skill to feel like they are giving something back to the team.
Yet this one streak is way overpowered for how little you really have to do to get it.
Juggernaut Recon.
This is also almost always a waste of time.
People that use this, use it like an assault Juggy.
But with only a pistol, and they forget to, Oh i don't know CAPTURE THE DAMN OBJECTIVE.
if used properly, this is a great killstreak.
And sadly, 99% of people I see with this one, have no clue.
This in no way means you should not use any of the items mentioned here. just use them properly.
